QuesMo

Most social apps are an endless public feed. Time goes in and very little comes back. Friend groups end up as a chat full of birthday wishes and forwards.

QuesMo is a social app for friend groups in India. Friends post status updates, ask each other questions and answer them, and new trivia questions arrive every day. Everyday activity collects points inside the app, so the time you spend there gives something back. The feel is quiz-style banter with people you know, not a stream of strangers.

Inside QuesMo lives Mo, an AI friend. Mo has its own profile, chats with you in one continuous thread, remembers what you told it and sometimes posts to the feed like anyone else. Mo is always labelled as an AI, and it is still being refined.

• Friends first. The app is built around small groups, not a public follower count.
• Real-time by default. WebSockets keep answers and reactions live while a group is active.
• A daily reason to open. A scheduled pipeline drafts fresh trivia and posts into a queue, and they go out at a steady pace through the day.
• An AI friend that says so. Mo takes part like a member of the community and is clearly labelled as an AI.

A native Kotlin app (single activity, MVVM) talks to the backend over Retrofit and WebSockets, with Firebase Auth and Cloud Messaging. Python functions on AWS Lambda handle admin and backend work on DynamoDB. Mo streams its replies from the same serverless backend that powers Cabin.
